Rush, on his Facebook page, has just announced a new Defend Small Business website to ward off his attackers. There is no place for any dialog but we can supposedly cut and paste the below dialog and send it to our congress people:

Paste the following in the Comments portion of the Contact form: “Media Matters is waging a campaign against Rush Limbaugh and in the process hurting small businesses through strong-arm tactics and intimidation. They are trying to shut down businesses – tying up phone lines, crashing websites, bombarding Facebook pages/Twitter accounts, and preventing real customers from getting through. I support small businesses and their right to advertise in any environment they choose.

Mitt Romney, in a campaign speech this Sunday, said that Obama wants to stop the oil coming from Alberta Canada. Rush Limbaugh will probably lead you to believe this too on his radio show Monday. DO NOT BE LIED TO. The information below is directly from TransCanada, the company that owns the Keystone pipeline. Oil crude is already flowing from Alberta.

The Keystone Pipeline is a 3,460-kilometre pipeline that transports crude oil from Hardisty, Alberta to markets in the American Midwest at Wood River and Patoka in Illinois, and at Cushing, Oklahoma. The Canadian portion of the pipeline runs from Hardisty, Alberta east into Manitoba where it turns south and crosses the border into North Dakota. From North Dakota, the pipeline runs south through South Dakota and Nebraska. At Steele City, Nebraska, one arm of the pipeline runs east through Missouri for deliveries into Wood River and Patoka, Illinois; another arm runs south through Oklahoma for deliveries into Cushing, Oklahoma.

Deliveries to Wood River and Patoka began in the summer of 2010, and deliveries to Cushing began in February of 2011. The pipeline system currently has the capacity to deliver up to 590,000 bpd of Canadian crude oil into these important North American refining markets.

A Post to the Rush Limbaugh Facebook page: Hey y'all. Rush did a good job on the radio today blasting Obama's hypocrisy on oil production. How can Obama support green energy alternatives like Wind and Solar and at the same time boast domestic oil production levels higher than 2001. At the same time? It doesn't make any sense. The astroturf green Democratic operatives are at it. Over 8 million paid Democratic  operatives have infected Wikipedia! If you google Wikipedia Keystone Pipeline you will go to a web page that says that the pipeline from Alberta Canada to Oklahoma is already built. What kind of BS is this? More than 2000 miles of pipe, built mostly, (now get this), built during the Obama administration and becoming operational in 2010. We need to support Rush who will be able to clean all this oil mess up. 

Xfinity is a local ad

Here are some of the local advertisers I heard today on KKSF Newstalk910 broadcasting from Oakland CA: Dr. Panagotacos, Cache Creek, Five Star Windows, Mercedez Benz, Segale Brothers, Xfinity. I have calls into all of them except Xfinity which is impossible to reach because none of their 800 numbers will match you up with a anybody but a salesperson or a repair service. If anyone can point me in the right direction, thanks. I would need a bay area number because this ad, although Xfinity is national, is a local ad. I also found out that the Internet stream has a somewhat different advertising profile than does the 20KWatt station. Now a cynical person might think that KKSF might be trying to hide ads from the Democratic "operatives", but it probably has a more benign reason.

I am listening to KKSF Newstalk910 Oakland online. I tried to listen to the whole thing but may have missed something. I did not hear an Xfinity ad, which is local here. Also I did not hear national advertisers for Fujitsu General and Hoovers Business contacts. Are they gone? Also on the local front, I did not hear the carpet ad or the wood cabinet ad. If you listen to Newstalk910 then you know who these are. Are they gone as well?

Your previous radio personality KGO John Thompson retired at the end of February. Your  ads are now being aired on the Rush Limbaugh show on KKSF Newstalk910. I am not sure of the history of how this happened. Only that KGO was bought out and reorganized as an all news channel. Some of the talk show may have been shifted or bought out by KKSF bumping out a soft jazz program.

KGO is a 500KWatt station and KKSF is a 20KWatt station. That's 25 times power. Take the square root. 5 times the coverage radius. KKSF is a new station with few listeners. They have less than 600 facebook followers as compared to hundreds of thousands of followers for a typical well established station. The statistics on their web site are "optimistic".

If you do not at least put a "no run" on the Rush Limbaugh show they will shift all of your ads into Rush's 9AM to Noon time slot to fill many vacated spaces let by fleeing advertisers. And this is negative advertising. There will be a boycott sooner or later. It has already happened on the national level. You can Google Rush Limbaugh Advertisers for more information.

I know how annoying an "activist" can be to somebody running a business. I have run a business myself. A machine shop. I have, though, your interest at heart. Please consider this as a request to join us. Rush Limbaugh is not good for Democrats, Republicans, or the country. Please call Clear Channel (415) 975-5555 and ask for the sales person Cheryle Hangartner to put a "no run" on the Rush Limbaugh show.
